La 3ia est une th\u00e9orie de classification des taxons en syst\u00e9matique et des aires biog\u00e9ographiques en analyse cladistique d&rsquo;aires qui se caract\u00e9rise par une phase d&rsquo;analyse suppl\u00e9mentaire par rapport aux autres th\u00e9ories de classification, dans laquelle les hypoth\u00e8ses d&rsquo;homologie sont d\u00e9compos\u00e9es en hi\u00e9rarchies \u00e9l\u00e9mentaires qui expriment que deux entit\u00e9s sont plus proches entre elles qu&rsquo;aucune ne l&rsquo;est d&rsquo;une troisi\u00e8me (d\u2019o\u00f9 le nom de 3ia).
