Then, we have developped a formalism for the taxonomic description and for the identifcation which can be extended to phylogeny and biogeography.<\/p>\n<p>The second one, <i>the methodological research in computer science<\/i>, focus on databases, knowledge learning and representation, classification <i>sensus largo<\/i>and algorythmics.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, methodological researchs are validated by informatic implementations on particular biological cases.<br \/>\n<span class=\"themes\"><a href=\"\/lis\/?q=en\/resources\" class=\"annotation\">to know more&#8230;<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The LIS is hardly involved in several national, european and international research programs.<br \/>\n<span class=\"themes\"><a href=\"\/lis\/?q=en\/network\" class=\"annotation\">to know more&#8230;<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>And the LIS has also developped many partnerships with foreign collaborators leading to specific applications which are all disposable for the whole scientific community.<br \/>\n<span class=\"themes\"><a href=\"\/lis\/?q=en\/resources\" class=\"annotation\">to know more&#8230;<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scientific goals The first goal of the LIS, the methodological research in Systematics, is to provide a formal (non ambiguous) description of the structures, concepts and relations used in Systematics.
