We carry out a methodological research classification sensu lato (phylogenetic classification, discrimination, identification) which led to the production and distribution of original software (2 deposition software for analysis Nelson05 three elements (3ia) and for the representation Xper2 taxonomic descriptions and identification).
Through these programs, new methodological proposals can be implemented, validated and used within and outside the UMR. This research falls within the field of science currently identified under the new name “Biodiversity Informatics”.
