Xper2 – Keyboard shortcuts

General:

  • Ctrl+N : New base
  • Ctrl+O : Open a base
  • Ctrl+S : Save the current base
  • Ctrl+Maj+S : Save the current base at the specified path
  • Ctrl+Maj+Z : Save the current base at the specified path as a compressed zip file
  • Ctrl+W: Close the current base
  • Ctrl+Q: Quit Xper²
  • Ctrl+P: View the properties of the base
  • Ctrl+Maj+C : Check the base
  • Ctrl+Maj+G : Update the thumbnails
  • Ctrl+Shift+V: Go to the «  Edition by Descriptors » mode
  • Ctrl+Shift+T: Go to the «  Edition by Taxa » mode
  • Ctrl+Shift+I: Go to the «  Identification » mode
  • Arrows: Navigate through the lists

Edition by descriptors:

  • « Descriptors » window:
    • +: Add a new descriptor
    • – or Del: remove the selected descriptor(s)
    • F2: Rename the selected descriptor
    • Ctrl kept pressed: select descriptors one by one (by left clicking on them)
    • Caps kept pressed: Batch selection of descriptors (by left clicking on them)
    • Ctrl+A: Select all the visible descriptors
    • Return: Display/Hide the child descriptor(s) of the selected parent descriptor
    • Right arrow: Display the child descriptor(s) of the selected parent descriptor
    • Left arrow: Hide the child descriptor(s) of the selected parent descriptor
  • « Groups » window:
    • +: Add a new group
    • – or Del: Remove the selected group
    • F2 or R or Double-click: Rename the selected group
    • Ctrl kept pressed: Remove the groups one per one (left-click selection)
    • Shift kept pressed: Batch select groups (left-click selection)
    • Ctrl+A: Select all the groups
  • « States » window:
    • +: Add a new state
    • – or Del: Remove the selected state
    • F2 or R or Double-click: Rename the selected state
    • Ctrl kept pressed: Select states one by one (left-click selection)
    • Shift kept pressed: Batch select states (left-click selection)
    • Ctrl+A: Select all states
  • « Exception States » window:
    • Double-click: Sélect/Deselect the exception state

Edition by taxa:

  • « Taxons » window:
    • Double-click: Rename the selected taxon
    • Ctrl kept pressed: Select taxa one by one (left-click selection)
    • Shift kept pressed: Batch select taxa (left-click selection)
    • Ctrl+A: Select all taxa
  • « Informations » tab:
    • Ctrl+A: Select all the text
    • Ctrl+C: Copy the selected text into the clipboard
  • « Comments » and « Definitions editor » tab:
    • Ctrl+A: Select all the text
    • Ctrl+C: Copy the selected text into the clipboard
    • Ctrl+V: Paste the clipboard contents
    • Ctrl+X: Cut the selected text into the clipboard

Identification:

  • « Etats » window:
    • Ctrl kept pressed: Select states one by one (left-click selection)
    • Shift kept pressed: Batch select states (left-click selection)
    • Ctrl+A: Select all the states
  • « Groups » window:
    • Ctrl kept pressed: Select groups one by one (left-click selection)
    • Shift kept pressed: Batch select groups (left-click selection)
    • Ctrl+A: Select all groups
  • « Taxons » window:
    • Double-click: Display the detailed data-sheet of the taxon
  • « Informations » tab:
    • Ctrl+A: Select all the text
    • Ctrl+C: Copy the selected text into the clipboard
